The Manor’s under 15’s colts team won the New Forest Cup Final on 2nd September. Fielding first, Wellow got off to a solid start, but some good bowling from the Manor youngsters ensured that kept the run rate was kept down. However, it was not until the 13th over that the second wicket fell. The wickets then tumbled fairly quickly and Wellow finished on 121 all out in the last of the allotted 25 overs. The wicket takers were Simo Peters 4-16, Lewis Price-Lloyd 3 for 9 and Mathew Caplen 2 for 13. The Manor got off to a brisk start with Matt Reeve and Conor Browne putting on 46 for the first wicket. Steve Harris and Josh Harvey kept the runs flowing before James Furnish and Simo Peters finished it off with over 3 overs to spare.

This is the first time ever that Langley Manor have won a colts final so very well done to all the lads in the U15squad this past season. I know that you made some of our older members very happy & proud. I know one in particular celebrated so much his wife was not best pleased on his return home !!

Hopefully, this is a sign that the progress that we have been trying to make to improve our colts cricket is on the right track.
