Well, sadly, Saturday 12th proved to be another complete washout for mens league cricket. Hopefully, with the sun beginning to appear we can get fully underway this weekend and get that Langley manor steamtrain rolling. Don’t forget senior training on Tuesday nights……important to keep loose in the event we do start the season.

In other news, a mix of Manor 1st and 2nd XI players had a friendly against Totton & Eling on Sunday. Despite the strength of the opposition, the Manor managed an excellent and comfortable victory. Nice way to warm up.

It may not come as a shock but the ground is too wet for any home games this weekend – however, clubhouse open Sat afternoon to view the Football Association Cup Final, pigs bladder chasing apparently!?!

Due to weather it seems very doubtful that there will be any cricket this weekend, however, the Manor will be open at noon to watch SFC hopefully gain promotion – KO is 12:30, game is live on the Beeb – bar open and chance to catch up with members pre season.

Preparation & Projects – Easter 2012

Work is progressing to prepare the Manor for the new season – your help would now be greatly appreciated.

As usual there will be the pre-season works over the Easter period – please make an effort to lend a hand.

Special projects this year include the erection of a new sight screen and ball stopping net at the “bank” end – the next phase is planned for Saturday 31/3/2012, completing over the Easter period – please try to give some time to input into the improvement of your club – 10:00 a.m. this Saturday and then over the Easter weekend.
