Aims & Objectives
- To work in close co-operation with the New Forest District Council, the County Youth Development Office, the Hampshire Cricket Board, Hampshire County Cricket Club and the England Cricket Board. In addition to these organisations, LMCC are seeking to further develop their links with local schools, including Hounsdown, Foxhills and Testwood, as well as Totton and Brockenhurst Colleges.
- To ensure that all projects are structured in accordance with the governing bodies for cricket in our country.
- To continue to make use of the excellent school and college contacts within our catchment area.
- To increase the number of players, standard of cricket, qualified coaches, umpires and scorers within the club.
- To raise the profile and increase the local communities awareness of the Cricket Club and its activities.
- To encourage and increase participation of parents and friends of LMCC in Club activities.
- To provide a safe and welcoming introduction to cricket, particularly to the young players.
- To improve the quality and quantity of the facilities available to ensure that the needs of an increase membership is
met. The coming season will see LMCC planning to increase its facilities with the addition of covers for the wickets,
another catching cradle, an additional Kwik Cricket bag and new team kits and tracksuits.
- To provide a suitable environment and facilities for use by disabled players and to actively encourage such players
in competition and club membership.
- LMCC always endeavours to achieve the principles of equal opportunity by ensuring quality of access to cricket for people regardless of age, sex, race, religion, creed or ability.
