Langley Manor Cricket Club (LMCC) was formed in 1897.

LMCC has played cricket at various locations since the first game and now its home is at Knellers Lane , Ashurst.

LMCC is affiliated to the Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) and through this to the English Cricket Board (ECB).

1991-1998 were exceptional years in the Club's history, which saw the 1XI gain promotion in consecutive years to Division 3 of the Hampshire County League from the New Forest Division 1. In 1991 a 2XI was formed. A 3XI team was formed in 1994.

In 2003 the 1XI was promoted to Division 1 of the Hampshire County Cricket League.

Improvements to the cricket square have continued and there are now 18 wickets. We have also constructed a full-size 3-lane artificial outdoor net practice facility which have proved invaluable in the improvement of players, especially when used with the new bowling machine.

Like so many other small clubs, LMCC needs more officials, qualified coaches and helpers to assist in the organisation, and running of the Club, scoring, making teas etc.

The influx of young players, many as young as 8 years of age, has seen improvement in the above areas with several parents and new club members wishing to take more responsibility for the running of the Club, the ground maintenance and assisting the Club Coach with his duties.

The Year 2007 will see the continuation of LMCC's cricket programme, building on the success and experiences of recent years. LMCC is aware that interest in the game often comes through encouragement and enjoyment at an early age and it is intended that the Colts coaching programme will be extended in order to maintain this interest.

In September 2004 Langley Manor embarked on their first international tour. The week long tour to Menorca consisted of two games against the Menorca Cricket Club over the weekend and one club game midweek. The tour was very successful both on and off the field and was thoroughly enjoyed by the 35 members that travelled.
